Post 1921 Leads Fouth of July Parade
The Post Color Guard was invited to lead the Redwood City Fourth of July Parade following a lone piper. The parade was
dedicated to Mrs. Anderson who recently passed away after being on the Parade Committee for 37 years. Her two sons asked that
the piper who played a few tunes for her the day before she died, and the SAMS Color Guard lead the parade in tribute to her.
We were very honored. The Post Color Guard was followed by Color guards of every military service. Post members marching this
year were, John Hassenplug, Doug Kenyon, Bill Wallace, Kevin Smith, Sherry Oppenheim, and Fran McVey.
