Qualifications for Membership

Membership is open to honorably discharged veterans or active duty or reserve military persons who have served or are serving with any branch of the US Armed Forces. Membership is open to:

 
bullet War veterans (persons who served honorably in the Armed Forces of the US during the following periods):
bullet 21 April 1898 - 4 July 1902
bullet 6 April 1917 - 11 November 1918
bullet 7 December 1941 - 31 December 1946
bullet 27 June 1950 - 31 January 1955
bullet 5 August 1964 - 7 May 1975
bullet 24 August 1982 - 31 July 1984
bullet 20 December 1989 - 31 January 1990
bullet 2 August 1990 - To be determined

 

bullet Present or former members of the US Armed Forces
bullet Armed Service Academy and college level ROTC
bullet Spouses, widows, or widowers of any of the above categories
bullet Members of the British Commonwealth Armed Forces

Honorary life memberships are awarded to members who have been awarded the Medal of Honor or the Victoria Cross.

Membership Procedure

Please fill out both the National and Post Applications.  You will find the Post Application on the APPLICATIONS page. There is a link on the LINKS page to the National Application.  Print out or copy them to your computer, fill out and send them to Commander Francis McVey as noted on the Post Application, along with a copy of your DD214.  If you are active military, please copy both sides of your military I.D. and mail with application.  If you are stationed outside of Northern California, please complete ONLY the National Application and mail with ID to St. Baggy as noted on the application
